Q: When can I expect to receive my order?
A: Your package will ship within one week of placing your order - typically within a couple of days.
Most packages ship USPS First Class Package or Priority Mail (though you have many shipping options available at checkout), and arrive within 2-5 days.
You'll receive a shipping update via email as soon as your order ships, which includes tracking and delivery updates.
We are a small company, and work to make and package your orders Monday - Friday 10am-6pm. If you order outside this window, just know we will get it headed your way as soon as we return to the studio.
Q: Can I make changes to an order I already placed?
A: If you need to make any changes to your order, please reach out to us immediately via email, at Lorrin@wanderite.com
We are happy to assist you with changes you'd like to make with your order. Certain exceptions may apply given inventory on hand, or if your order has already been packaged and shipping label printed.
Q: What do I do if I never receive my order?
A: All orders come with detailed tracking information, so in the rare case that you don't receive your order when expected, we will help you locate your package to the best of our ability.
Even though it may seem obvious, 9/10 times these steps help recover lost packages. To cover all your bases in the event that you don't receive your package when expected, here are some helpful first steps:
1. Check your email for tracking updates to see the exact day and time your package was delivered. In rare cases, delivery drivers will mark a package as delivered while en route. Usually packages do show up within 24 hours if this is the case.
2. Check with every single person in your household, as well as any neighbors that could have accidentally picked it up.
3. Check any camera footage you may have access to, such as a doorbell or security camera.
4. If you've gone through all of these steps and still cannot locate your package, please let us know and we will do everything we can from our end to help track it down. Often a call to the local post office can provide more details than standard tracking provides.
Additionally, USPS provides this form for missing packages.
***If you are worried about security or have known issues in your area with stolen packages, especially around the holidays, please choose a shipping option at checkout with signature confirmation or shipping insurance.
***We are not responsible for lost packages that do not include insurance. As a very small company, we cannot replace lost packages when tracking shows that the item was delivered. That said, please trust that we do everything we possibly can to help you in this rare situation.
Q: Do you accept returns or exchanges?
A: Yes! We want you to love your Wanderite pieces as much as we love making them. Here are a few more important details on returns and exchanges:
***If you'd like to return or exchange something, you must return the item within 7 days of receiving it.
***All returns must be unworn / unused in the same packaging and condition you received them, and can be shipped to:

We can offer exchanges if we have what you'd like in stock. We can also issue a store credit if you'd like to wait for something to be restocked.
Please let us know via email or in writing with your return what you'd like to exchange for and please be sure to include your name, contact info and order number.
Q: Is my information kept private and secure when I use your site?
Our site is 100% secure, and your information is kept 100% private. We do not collect customer information beyond what you provide for shipping purposes, or for example, if you sign up for our email newsletter.
We will never use your information to contact you except in the case that there is a (rare) issue with your order. We will never share your information, ever.
Q: Can I send something as a gift? How does that work?
A: We always include a packing slip / receipt in every order, so if you'd like to send a gift to someone please leave a note letting us know it is a gift when you place your order.
There is a place at checkout to include a comment for us.
We are happy to include a note to the recipient if you'd like to include that information, and we'll be sure not to include the receipt.
Q: When will "out of stock" items be restocked?
A: We are always working to restock "out of stock" items as quickly as we can. As a very small team of two, it can take weeks for certain items to be restocked, even working as fast as we can. Here's a general breakdown of products and when you can expect them to be restocked:
Bandanas: naturally-dyed bandanas can take 3-4 weeks (or sometimes longer) to be screen printed and dyed for a restock. Generally, we will let you know when the expected restock date is in the listing.
Stickers: typically take 1-2 weeks to restock.
Cards: typically take 1-2 weeks to restock.
Apparel: since we are not making nearly as much apparel as we used to, restocks can take much longer. There have been massive (covid related) supply shortages. You can expect apparel updates typically twice a year - spring and fall. Apparel is extremely small batch, and we don't always reprint the same design twice, so if you see something you like, that may be the only time it's available in that style.
Prayer flags: rarely out of stock, because we're always making them! If so, typically takes about 2-3 weeks to restock.
Q: How will I know when items are restocked?
A: We always announce upcoming restocks on Instagram and our email newsletter. Follow us on Instagram for updates, and when you sign up for our monthly newsletter you'll also receive 10% off your first order.
Q: Where are you located?
A: We are located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of southwestern Virginia. We live in what's called the New River Valley, and are surrounded by beautiful mountains, rivers, springs and an abundance of Appalachian native plants - all of which inspire our work endlessly.
Formerly nomadic, we have lived / created art in Boulder, Colorado, Asheville, North Carolina, southern Oregon, central America, and many places in between. Most recently, we moved from Berkeley, California to our 175 year-old historic home, gallery + studio here in downtown Blacksburg, Virginia.
Q: How do I find out about local events and offerings?
A: Instagram and our monthly email newsletter is the best way to stay up to date on local happenings.
We are still pretty new to Blacksburg, but are planning to host in-person, outdoor art pop-ups about once a month going forward. We host other talented artists from near and far, as well as live music or live DJ, interactive art and more.
In 2022, we are planning to open our in-house gallery on the weekends. Stay tuned!
